Jared grew up in a small Midwestern town in Minnesota, spending half the year there and the other half in California. While growing up, some of his early musical influences were Eddie Cochran, John Lee Hooker, BB King, Louis Jordan, Eric Clapton, and many of the Jazz, R & B, and contemporary singers of the 70’s thru the 90’s.
Jared started playing guitar at 12 and shortly after added Alto Sax and keyboards to his instrumentation. He formed several bands and spent a lot of time traveling across country, many nights opening for major acts and playing in every venue from 5 Star resorts to small dark blues, jazz and rock clubs.
Jared resides in Arizona now, but travels to other areas of the country to perform. Currently, Jared appears regularly at several restaurant/lounges in the Phoenix area, playing everything from smooth jazzy music in intimate lounges, to high energy dance music rooms.
While in Phoenix, Jared established himself as one of the top single acts. His credentials are his long term engagements at many of the top establishments and Resorts: five years at the North Bank in Phoenix, ten years as entertainer and assistant entertainment coordinator at Pointe Resorts in Phoenix. He was the initial full-time entertainer at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale and for many years a regular entertainer at Pane-e-Vino ristorante in Scottsdale. One of his highlights at Pane-e-Vino was backing up the great Lou Rawls on the occasions when he stopped in to do a few numbers.
Jared has entertained at Harry Caray’s in Chicago, the Fairmont Hotel Venetian Room in San Francisco, Harrah’s Headliner room in Reno NV, Ron’s Jazz Room in Laguna Beach, CA and many Celebrity parties.
One of Jared’s specialties is changing his voice to sound like the original singer, and he has a great rapport with his audience, playing all styles of music for almost any venue.
Please feel free to contact Jared whether you are looking for entertainment for a corporate event, resort event, restaurant/lounge, or a private party. Jared Howe is a first rate entertainer either as a single act or with his optional trio.

In memory of my brother Gary (left.) Sadly, he was killed in an automobile accident August 16, 2018 outside Austin, TX. We were different in many ways,
but he will be missed.
